On Friday, December 2, and Saturday, December 3, 2016, Vallivue High School Junior Varsity Wrestlers will be helping to run the Middle School tournament. Our school district’s middle schools, Vallivue Middle School and Sage Valley Middle School, are co-host the tournament, and we are going to do everything possible to make this a well-run and successful event.
VHS Junior Varsity wrestlers should report to coach Will Herrera or coach Melisa Roggio when they arrive at the tournament.
There will be a Vallivue Falcon Wrestling team meeting on November 16, 2016, at 7:20pm. We will meet in the VHS cafeteria.
This meeting will be an opportunity to meet the coaches, discuss the VHS wrestling handbook, learn about required fundraisers, and talk about the team schedule.

Coach John Smith of Oklahoma State says that wrestling is the only sport wherein we ask athletes to skip the occasional meal. And it is true that weight can have a significant impact on success in our sport, but safety must come first.
In accordance with national and state guidelines, VHS wrestlers must be weight certified. Meaning that we undergo a hydration and body fat test in order to determine the minimum weight at which a wrestler may compete. We have two opportunities to certify. The first of these will be on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 4:00 pm.
